July has been an exciting time at the Stadium. The 2 Champion of Champions events were very successful and time after time we were told by visitors how lucky we are to have this fantastic facility. Thank you to all those volunteers that made this happen.
Thanks to Hopes for their outstanding ongoing support and contribution to the Polo Shirts now being worn by our Volunteers and Staff
Tomorrow, Monday the 24th, the sheets will go up on the board for the last 6 week session of the season. Get your name up and some practice in for the upcoming outdoor season. Entry conditions remain the same
Good evening all Bowlers.
July looks like being an extremely busy month. We start our 3rd quarter on this Monday the 3rd of July. The draw for all leagues is up, and there were two teams balloted out for the Thursday morning league only, and they have be notified.
There will not be any morning bowls on the following dates, Friday the 7th, Saturday the 8th, and the 14th and 15th July, due to the NZ Champion of Champion Pairs, then Triples.
On Thursday the 6th and 13th of July, the Stadium will be CLOSED for Roll Ups between 1.00pm and 6.00pm. It is reserved for National C of C players.
There will be some fantastic bowls played so come along and support our Dunedin winners. The Full draw is up on the Bowls NZ website. Click on the Champion of Champions box for details.
We have had a number of functions over the last month and a huge thanks goes to all those that have helped to make these events successful.

It is only 4 weeks until the start of the 2023 season. The first session is on Tuesday the 11th of April just after Easter.
The Entry Sheets for all Leagues and Mini Tournaments go up on the board on Monday morning the 13th March. You can either phone, email or call into the Stadium, from Monday, to put your entry in.
For the first 6 week block, the first 16 entries for each event will make up that league or mini tournament. Subsequent 6 week blocks where entries are over the number of 16 per event, ballots will take place.

To avoid congestion at the front desk at the start of the season Subs can be paid online, click on Subscriptions 23 above, or at the Stadium
Any question please call John on 0273552819
Good afternoon all bowlers
Registrations are now open for the 2023 Season. Go to our website bowlsstadium.nz , click on Subscriptions 2023 and follow the prompts.
If your club has applied for, and received a grant for Subscriptions, you will not have to do this.
For everyone else it would be fantastic if you could go on line and complete the form, then make the payment. The other option is to call into the Stadium and join.
It would be a real help to those at the front desk if this could be done between now and the end of March, rather than once the season starts to avoid congestion when arriving to play in leagues.
Any questions call John on 0273552819

It is with great pleasure that the Executive announce the names of our Restaurant/Lounge (off our bar area) and the Conference room at the end of the Building past the Bowls Dunedin Office.
The Restaurant/Lounge will be called " The Keith Ellwood Lounge" and the Conference room will be called ''The Pat O'Dea Conference Room".
Without the efforts of Keith and the late Pat, there would be no Stadium here today.
Keith still plays for Kaikorai and at the Stadium once a week.
All bowlers from our Centre and from around the country have a lot to thank these two for.
Hopes Dunedin Lawn Bowls Stadium

27/07/2022 Hi all bowlers,
What a miserable 3 weeks it has been with the weather. Thank goodness we have the Stadium to play the sport we love.
The sheets for the last session starting the 15th August go up on the board this afternoon
Time to get some practice in to hit the ground running for when the outdoor season commences.
The North vs South game is fast approaching. The South team is announced later today. Let's hope a couple of our outstanding young bowlers (who know the Stadium surface well ) get selected.
